Lake House

This house can be described as a four level single storey volume, wherein one never has to walk more than two thirds of a vertical level, eliminating long lengths of stairs and creating many intersecting split level spatial opportunities and “sneaky views.” The connective circulation between levels generally runs parallel to the programme while the “objects of desire”- the view and lake access- are always visually available. The plan is designed to create a series of layers that seduce and delay the occupants from reaching the lake, but eventually rewarding them with spectacular space, light, and experience of the site.
